SafeTea is a women-first dating safety community. These guidelines exist to keep everyone safe and protect the privacy of all individuals — including the people discussed in posts. By using SafeTea, you agree to follow these rules.
1. What's Allowed
You CAN post:
- Personal dating experiences — share what happened to you in your own words
- First name + last initial — e.g., "Jake M." or "Marcus J."
- Conversation screenshots — with last names and profile photos blurred
- Positive experiences — good dates, green flags, recommendations
- Safety tips — advice for meeting people, venue suggestions, red flag awareness
- Questions — ask the community for input on a situation
2. What's NOT Allowed
You CANNOT post:
- Full names — first + last name is automatically blocked. Use first name + last initial.
- Photos without consent — no photos of anyone who hasn't consented to being on SafeTea
- Doxxing information — home address, workplace, phone number, social media handles
- Criminal accusations without a police report — if you allege a crime, you must have filed a report
- Harassment or threats — no targeted abuse, threats of violence, or coordinated attacks
- Nudity or explicit content — no NSFW images or sexually explicit material
- Content involving minors — absolutely no content about or involving anyone under 18
- Hate speech — no content targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability
- Spam or commercial promotion — no ads, scams, or promotional content
3. Consequences
Violations are reviewed by AI moderation and human moderators. Consequences escalate with severity and repeat offenses:
Level 1
Post Removed
Content removed, user notified of the violation.
Level 2
Warning
Formal warning added to your account. 3 warnings = suspension.
Level 3
30-Day Suspension
Account suspended for 30 days. All posts hidden during suspension.
Level 4
Permanent Ban
Account permanently banned. Reserved for severe or repeat violations.
4. Photo Rules
- 10-day auto-expiry — all uploaded photos are automatically deleted after 10 days
- Watermarked for safety — photos are invisibly watermarked to trace leaks back to the uploader
- No screenshots — screenshot attempts are detected and may result in a warning or suspension
- Consent required — only upload photos that you have the right to share
- No nudity — explicit images are blocked by AI moderation and result in immediate suspension
5. Takedown Requests
If you are named in a post and want it removed, you can request a takedown through:
Under the TAKE IT DOWN Act, non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) will be removed within 48 hours of a verified request.
6. Appeals
If your post was removed or your account was suspended, you have the right to appeal:
- You may submit one appeal per violation
- Appeals must be filed within 7 days of the action
- Appeals are reviewed by AI and may be escalated to a human moderator
- You will be notified of the outcome via email and in-app message

7. AI Moderation Disclosure
SafeTea uses AI-powered moderation to review posts, detect violations, and enforce these guidelines. AI moderation works alongside human moderators to ensure safety and accuracy. All AI-flagged content is subject to human review upon appeal.
